Employer data
When Employers create an Employer Account, we request contact information, including email address and telephone number, to provide a point of contact for staff and which is made available on your public profile. We will not use your phone number to send any commercial or marketing messages not related to your use of Services to you without your express consent.
● Resume and portfolio data: If you’re an intern, you may choose to upload your resume and portfolio to our platform. This information will only be shared with potential employers when you apply for a job through our platform.
● Job posting data: If you’re an employer, you may choose to post job listings on our platform. This information will be publicly visible to all visitors to our site.
● Usage data: We may collect information about how you use our platform, such as your IP address, browser type, and operating system.
How we use your data
We use your data for the following purposes:
● To provide and improve our platform: We use your data to operate and maintain our platform, and to develop new features and services.
● To connect employers and interns: If you’re an intern, we may share your resume and portfolio with potential employers who are looking to hire interns. If you’re an employer, we may share your job postings with potential interns who are looking for opportunities.
● To comply with legal obligations: We may use your data to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal requests.
● Providing services such as allowing you to make appointments with career center professionals or sign up for career fairs and other events.
● Delivering job opportunities and communications from potential employers by email in accordance with your account settings and communication preferences.
● Allowing you to choose whether your profile is public or private, so potential employers, or others, can find you—or not.
● Allowing you to contact employers and employers to contact you through the Internplaza Service, including by way of messaging, audio and video conferencing, and webinars.
● Allowing you to post reviews and other content on employers and employment experiences.
How we store and protect your data
We store and protect your data using industry-standard encryption and security protocols. We take reasonable measures to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that your data will be completely protected. By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
How long we retain your data.
We will retain your data for as long as necessary to provide our services to you, or for as long as we have a legitimate interest in retaining it. If you would like us to delete your data, please contact us at data@internplaza.com.
How we share your data
We may share your data with third-party service providers who help us operate and maintain our platform. We only share your data with these providers to the extent necessary to provide our services.
We may also share your data with potential employers or interns, depending on whether you are an employer or an intern using our platform.
Cookies
As a Site visitor, we place a small piece of software referred to as a “session cookie” on your computer. If you use the Services and create an account, we also use this cookie to recognize you on return visits and expedite the login process. You can remove this and other cookies through your browser preferences menu, though the exact method varies depending on the type of browser you use – but note that you won’t be able to log into our service if your cookies are disabled. If you visit from a mobile device, we may reference your device identifier or other information about where your visit originated.
Our email communications contain web beacons or similar technology which track when the email has been opened or read. This functionality sends the resulting records back to our Service, which may be associated with other information you have provided us.
Do not track signals
We are currently unable to respond to Do Not Track signals that may be sent by some browsers.
Your rights
You have certain rights with respect to your personal data, including the right to:

De-activating your account or deleting your personal data
You can choose to deactivate your account so that you are no longer viewable on the Service or you can make your account private. You may also request Internplaza delete information about you, however we may be obligated as a service provider to your employee to retain certain data about you. This means that if they re-send us your data to process on their behalf, we will retain it unless they request we delete it. You can request deactivation or deletion by sending a message to data@internplaza.com to ask them to delete your information.
Changes to this Data Policy
We may update this Data Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will provide notice on our platform or by other means, such as email.
